Outside; there are a lot wonderfull frescos. painted by estonian painter Eduard Kont, These are illustration from estonian fairy tales, and pictures from traditional estonian holydays. Magnificent!
Outside: clean and luxurious.
Hosts are very friendly
Kuldkaru manor is a great place to stay, even in winter. We stayed here 2 nights - the whole place is kept super warm, no problem at all with cold nights. Rooms have a nice feel - wooden floors/walls, very comfortable. Bathrooms are shared.
There is a downstairs common area for sitting and drinking tea or coffee. There is also a sauna for guests use.
Another advantage of this place compared to downtown Kohtla Jahve is the peace and quiet. It's 8km outside of town, and SO peaceful.
Breakfasts are prepared by the owners - we were given pancakes with cheese/cream, cherry jam. And yoghurt, pastries coffee. We weren't offered a choice - but we enjoyed it.
And the prices are very good, good value.
Thank you to the owners for their welcome and hospitality.
One thing also to note - which could be a blessing in disguise - is that internet/wifi is not so great!
This is quite new hotel, about 2 years old. It's privately owned by young family. Overnight stay including breakfast. Hotel is furnished tastefully, there is a big kitchen area, playroom for kids with mini pool table, sauna.
By informing staff about you preference for breakfast, you might get the food you like. Us was offered complimentary sauna, not sure do they charge for this normally extra or not. The property is surrounded with green park and terraces where you can relax in summer times.
Something you should be aware of: soundproofing of the rooms are not the best, there is shared toilet/shower, rooms don't have tv.
If hotel is full there might be noisy, toilet/shower situation did not bother us cause there is basically 1 toilet/2 rooms so this is ok.
But undoubtedly the best part was the hotel's atmosphere and almost a la carte breakfast.
