Having the National Stud and Japanese Gardens not too far from home, we thought it'd be great to go for a walk around the grounds. Great, friendly staff. Admission was €12.50 and included a free cup of tea/coffee, entry to the Gardens and a guided tour of the foals, mares and stallions. Very interesting to take a walk around the stud farm to see what each stallion is worth to stud and the price that their foals have reached over the last few years. We would have spent more time there, only it was quite a cold day and I hadn't thought to wear warmer shoes so we had to cut it short abit, but I would definitely return with a picnic basket and sit on one of the many benches and watch the world go by. Very quite and serene. We're very lucky that this is right outside our doorstep.
