On my quest to get a Sunday lunch at 3.15 in the afternoon, we turned up at the New Inn not holding out much hope. We were pleasantly surprised..I got my roast pork dinner and my partner had fish and chips. Both hit the mark on all levels; decent portion size, perfectly cooked vegetables, reasonably priced and most importantly absolutely delicious! Will definitely be returning to sample other meals on the menu.

Breakfast was lovely so were the staff. They went to so much trouble to make the day a very delightful one. We could not have chosen a better venue for our families very special day.
We look forward to a return visit.

Three of us visited for an evening meal, had quality real ale, excellent food. Menu isn't pages long but food is all freshly cooked, have never had a duff plateful in many visits.
Staff are friendly and efficient, this is a great local.

We visited for a meal as a couple and had a lovely quiet evening. The restaurant area was empty apart from us which suited us perfectly.
The staff were highly attentive and friendly, the service was quick and the food very tasty.
The setting is very peaceful and the pub itself has a warm and cosy feel - it's a lovely building.

For food we had the full three courses. We both chose the burger and chips for main and it was definitely one of the best I have eaten! The meat was succulent, perfectly cooked and tasty. The chips were delicious. We had brownie for pudding and again, it was delicious.
The portions are generous.
Our waitress was very helpful, on the ball with everything, offering more drinks, sauces etc. obviously as it was so quiet she had more time to attend to us but hopefully the service would be just as good even if It were busier.
We'll definitely be back.
