Went here for a family get together recently. We ordered many main meals to share only and some rice. Every dish tasted amazing. Service was Ok but the place has a friendly casual atmosphere. New owner Im sure will turn this place in to a must go to in Henley beach. Thanks tasted amazing.

Initial service very slow even though a booking was made. Dip entree average. Main meal was very tasty. Mistake in order but soon resolved.

Our family of six are on vacation in Adelaide and asked friends for their recommendation for an Indian Restaurant. We were advised that the Charminar Restaurant had never disappointed and would be a good choice.
We took up the suggestion and asked for the house specialities. These included Manchurian Vegetarian, Butta Kebab and Onion Bajji as entrees. These were amazing. The Manchurian Vegetarian is especially good. We also took up the suggestion for mains and had Goa Prawns, Goa Fish, Tawa Tikka Masala and Lamb Roganjosh. Everybody was very complementary about their meal. Great flavours and spices, and well prepared.
While the ambience is ordinary, it does not in any way detract from a great evening.
The view to Henley Beach, the service and very good staff, and particularly the great meals make this a memorable evening.

New to the area and trying out all the Indian restaurants in the area as our family love the food. Compared to other local restaurants this one at this point in time is not as good as the others. Lots of sauce and not much meat in the dishes. Rice was not your traditional basmati and seemed more jasmine which was odd for an Indian restaurant. Prices equal to other restaurants. I think I’d like to try dining in next time just to compare.

We met friends for a Saturday night dinner at this Charminar, two weeks before Christmas.

While our meals were all very tasty, the service was a little patchy at times, but always well intentioned and courteous.

It was noticeably quiet, only two other couples in the restaurant for the entire time that we were there – I hope for their sake that they are normally busier than that.
