Between Macomb and Quincy IL you will find acres of farmland, and the Plymouth Rock Roost B and B. I have stayed there many times while deer hunting, and never disappointed. Your host Joyce will treat you like family, in a warm and inviting Victorian home. Large beds, larger bedrooms, and a kitchen made to hang out in. It is the perfect place to stay for your Western Illinois expeditions.

We generally do not stay at a place unless there are several “current” reviews, but we took a chance and stayed here. Photos from a website can be deceiving and they don't tell the whole story. The home IS a 1904 Victorian home, but it had a lot to be desired. Do not expect the home to smell of a name brand fragrance candle. However, it does smell of old antiques and old wood. The bathroom photo is accurate but the other photos don't show the clutter throughout the home. The bedding was clean, but the bed was hard as a board. There is one cat in the home and several you need to maneuver around to get into the home. We love our animals, but we do not care to have breakfast with them. The breakfast was mediocre. The owner did warn us in advance she does not do request for breakfast. The choice was fresh fruit, pancakes or french toast, cranberry juice and she would fix coffee. The icing on the cake of our stay was when the owner mowed her yard. She peppered our car with freshly mowed grass. However, we did manage to get it off when we got home with the power washer.
I have always been a firm believer in " current reviews" and will not waiver from that path AGAIN!

Quite a nicely kept, large, two story victorian house in a very small farming town, only a half hour to "civilization" (Macomb). The owner is very knowledgeable about antiques, has a fairly astounding array of cool pieces in the B&B, and more in her store on the village square.

Cats downstairs and outside, but upstairs is cat free, and my allergy didn't kick in...
