Always up to try new restaurants and like their connection to La Briola. Had a friend who hosted a party here and had nice things to say so we checked it out. Did not want pizza although wait staff raved about it. Said the rest of the menu was "small portions" but I have to say, they were just right. Had the burrata salad - excellent and a pasta dish with peas, prosciutto and cream. Very good! Not to much - not too little. Prices good also. Very nice, large interior. Place filled up as the evening progressed and party room looks really nice. Would like to visit when outdoor seating is available.

Supposedly La Barra recently went through a name change, menu overhaul and re-branding. I had no context from the previous version and that doesn’t matter to me. From the moment we checked-in for our RSVP to our departure, everything was spot on.

Excellent hostess service upon arrival. We sat outside on a great, covered patio with a lovely pond view. No noise from the nearby roadways. Our server was personable, amiable, easy going. Excellent service all around. We had two of their signature drinks, their old fashion and a manhattan. Both very good. and the proper slow melt ice ball and cube.

The menu is plentiful and many wonderful choices. We opted for the small plates approach. Difficult because everything looked so good. And eyeing plates coming to other tables validated that. We will return for pizza and more small plates another time.

The wine list is good. a bit on the high end of prices for normal wines. Definitely not worth the price point. We ordered the avocado toast, grilled asparagus, brussels sprouts and fava and goat cheese toast. Four tapas were the right amount. We finished everything. The toasted bread for the avocado toast was a great compliment to the avocado spread. Same for the fava bean and goat cheese toast. A different bread, but nice char and you get a fava bean spread and a goat cheese spread. Though they were both toasts, they were varied enough to pair together. The grilled asparagus was just fair. Flimsy asparagus did not hold up well to the grilling and the egg was the star. Needs some refinement. The brussels sprouts were definitely the winner of all four dishes. Roasted, flavorful, robust. Delicious. We got the ice box choco cake as a takeaway for dessert.

We had a Soave white which complimented all of the dishes. They did charge us for a more expensive Soave and when called out on the bill, they adjusted it.

Definitely a multiple return dining experience.

They recently changed their name and changed their menu. It's more like a regular Italian restaurant with small plates--adding more choices. The pizza is still on the menu and it is still GREAT! We tried the new Lasagna pizza with thin crust. Who thought you could have Lasagna and pizza together (two of my favorite foods). It was great!
The antipasto tray is not on the menu anymore where( you got to choose your meats, cheeses and sides) to our disappointment --but they do have an Antipasto Charcuterie--the chef's selection of meats and cheeses in 2 sizes.
Reasonably priced cocktails. We also tried a new dessert ---chocolate pudding cake, layered with graham crackers and peanut butter crunch on top ---delicious.

This is still one of my favorite places, really nice outside dining--but they still do need work with the staff--they never refill the water glasses.

We had a reservation for a Saturday night and were immediately seated upon our arrival. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. Our waiter didn't come by for almost 10 minutes. . He took our wine order, and then we waited another 5-10 minutes. We asked for water and some bread and were told they don't normally offer bread but he'd find us some (which he did). I ordered a salad and pasta with clam sauce. The clam sauce came out in about 10 minutes. After another 5-10 minutes, the salad arrived. The pasta was tasteless, and the salad was drenched in dressing. We decided to go somewhere else for dessert. This was our third time at Pizza Barra (it's now called La Barra). The other two times we ordered pizza and found it ordinary and not worth the price. Doubtful we'll return.
