“Very good Chinese food with a Korean twist”

Twin Dragon Restaurant

Common wisdom dictates that to have good ethnic cuisine find a place that the locals frequent. Twin Dragons is just such a place. An unpretentious restaurant tucked away in a strip mall, by fare and away the majority of the diners are Korean. There is even a Korean channel playing on the televisions. I had the Kung Pao chicken lunch special. It came with a cup of hour & sour soup (can also have egg drop) and a veggie egg roll. Portion is generous. Nicely spiced. Prepared to order

Twin Dragon serves a great Jjamppong! Jjamppong is a Korean spicy seafood noodle soup and theirs is the best. The broth is flavorful with just the right amount of chilies. It's always piping hot with lots of seafood (shrimp, squid, mussel,) vegetables and noodles. I am usually the only European American person dining which makes me feel that I am getting good authentic Korean soup.

This place seems to cater mostly to Koreans. It does offer authentic Korean Chinese food. This is a former that developed by Chinese immigrants & Koreans by modifying some of the mainland Chinese recipes from Shandong, Sichuan, Beijing areas. Most recipes do have basic Chinese preparation techniques. Most notable & popular koreanized items are noodles with black sauce, spicy seafood noodle soup. Other items on the menu are very similar to or identical to one's offered in other Chinese restaurants nation-wide. Some may still see the modifications in the flavor. The two noodle soups are best sellers. So, do try them. The black noodle sauce is made from black Chinese miso called chajang, the spicy seafood soup from cayenne pepper base. The noodles are handmade & cooked to all dente. Eating the soups at the restaurant will give the best taste as the noodles will become softer if it remains in the take out container for long. The restaurant now offers Korean dishes as well. Ordering is no problem as,the waitresses can communicate well both in Korean and English albeit with a bit of accent. Mostly friendly older Korean ladies. The restaurant is half in the basement level.you will go down steps, not exactly disability friendly. The food quality has been consistently good over the years. Pricing-good value considering the quality & quantity of food. Korean menu with generous side dishes but mostly standard items one gets in most Korean restaurants. They are flavorful, & fresh. When they started Korean menu not too long ago, was initially skeptical but the restaurant is proving that it also can do Korean menu consistently well.
Recommendations: This restaurant gives a rare opportunity to try out koreanized Chinese food as they are sold in Korea. Also, try their Korean menu. Great advantage to try both styles of cuisine in one place.

It has been a Korean style Chinese Restaurant for a long time, added Korean dishes recently and it is excellent. Lunch special is very inexpensive and taste good as well as fast service.
There are quite few Chinese Restaurant and Korean Restaurant in the vicinity, here in Twin Dragon you can have both Chinese a d Korean at the same time and worth to visit.
Atmosphere is good, it is a real restaurant equipped with banquet room not a strip mall restaurant.
You must try this place.
