While we had been there before during an over crowded Saturday night, tonight' s experience was far superior. Great martinis at the bar with olives with feta cheese. We sat in the bar, which is much quieter than than the main dining room. Saganaki, tormosalata were great to start with and the smelts and the gyros salad were also excellent. When you drive by and see the cars you will understand; this is a great restaurant that serves quality food at good prices. The martinis were at least 3-4.00 less than city prices and with the same good pour. Service with a smile from Natalia in the bar seating area.Stop in and you too will say OPAH!

Always good and reliable. Great Greek food, reasonably priced. Everything on the menu is worth a try, especially the authentic dishes. Why go to Greek town when it doesn't get better than this.

Love this place! Been coming here for years. Just back from Greece and coming here gives us the authenticity of the delicious cuisine we are craving. Saganaki, gyros, fresh fish...yummy!!

I love this place! All the dishes are made with love. Great place to get together with friends or family. Combination plates are generous.

After years of driving past Psistaria we decided to have dinner there. First surprise was the huge number of diners on a Wednesday night. A typical Greek Restaurant that one would expect in Greektown, but here it is in a north suburb on a busy street. Absolutely necessary to use valet for parking. Service was prompt and friendly. The tzatzki appetizer was perfect without being overwhelmed by garlic as is often the case. Lemon rice soup was nicely flavored and zesty. It was nice that bread and a plate of lemon was put on the table at the begging. Excellent wine selection, most Greek but with some of the standards as well. Our two entrees were next to perfect. The grilled shrimp kabob was done exactly as grilled shrimp should be with nice light spice. The shrimp tourkolimano was a baked shrimp sitting in a mild tomato sauce sprinkled with mini cubes of feta. One thing for sure, the portions were sizable with each dish consisting of nine well sized shrimp. No room for desserts. The lively atmosphere is on the loud side so not very conversation friendly. Be sure if you are with one other person, that you sit in adjoining seats rather than across a table. Overall, this is a pretty great restaurant with excellent food.
