No hostess in sight when we arrived and when she finally did walk over to us, she seemed to have some kind of issue knowing what seating was available. Took about 40 minutes to get our simple sandwich orders and there was not a bread basket or cracker in sight. Portions on the small side for the sandwiches, although everyone did say they were tasty.

Friendly staff and great burgers. Service a little slow during rush of boaters on weekends, but still okay. New owners have made the place much more inviting, better lighting, etc. much improved over old owners.

We decided to try the restaurant out after hearing about it on WGN last week. We were not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed the nacho appetizer and wonderful service we received while sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. We will definitely return for the fish fry and Sunday brunch.

Fairmont Shores has new owners. Mike and Allison are friendly, hardworking and want Fairmont Shores to be successful. They closed the restaurant for a month and gave the inside a much-needed facelift. It is bright and welcoming. They have redone the kitchen as well. They have plans to redo the parking lot and deck when weather permits.

The menu has stayed the same with a few minor changes to items on the menu. I know that they have plans to try out a Bloody Mary Bar this summer.

Many of the staff members are the same. The staff is friendly and hustle to take care of all of their customers. Mike and Allison greet people as they come in and visit tables as time permits between helping out the bartender and servers.

Last Friday I had the poor man's lobster. It was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I love the hushpuppies.

My husband had the original fish fry. It was delicious. The breading is great, not heavy or soggy. We prefer the original over the beer batter. There was so much fish that he could not have eaten another serving.

We had a group of 8 and 2 kids. Our service was great!

We are looking forward to visiting again soon!

Brought family and kids with their friends here because we used to live nearby and wanted to go back. The server was busting her but but you could tell they were short staffed. Seemed to be 2 servers and One bartender working. The owner was there and would occasionally step in and help, but i did watch him sitting at the bar checking his phone and talking to what appeared to be regulars while the server was " in the weeds". Wings were greasy, and inconsistent on 3 different orders. I ordered a second helping of the all you can eat fish Friday and did not get it until everyone was way beyond done and ready to leave. The lady server with the accent.( English maybe) was excellent. Not her fault that they were understaffed. Mediocore food quality at best and overpriced. $17.00 for 12 chicken wings??? Too bad the owner was not actually talking to ALL of the people visiting his restaurant and supporting his financial gain. Would not return. Really disappointing.
