The motel is probably 40 years old and still has the same style and architecture from 1977. With that being said, the manager has kept it clean and provided the expected amenities: in-room fridge, microwave, large flat screen TV, hairdryer, cable, WiFi, etc.

It could definitely use a makeover, however, if you are looking for a decent place to sleep in between trips to visit relatives, this is your place. Most of the time you will see quite a few trucks in the parking lot, since this is the hotel mostly used by the crews that come into town to work on the windmills.

The manager is friendly, the location is right in the middle of town and there's plenty of parking. I've stayed here at least twice a year over the past 5 years and have no complaints. If you are looking for a place to hang in the pool and have a drink at the bar, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place to crash for the night and then want to get on with your day; this place will work great!

Room Tip: I've always stayed on the first floor and it was fine.

The owner Ken is a real good guy. Very helpful. Rooms are perfect with a fridge and micro. Going back again soon. Great weekly rates! Plenty of stores close by too! The Barn House is next door. DQ across the street.

This motel looks like a dump outside because there is furniture setting everywhere and lots of chairs setting out side but this is the 3 rd year we have stayed with them and it is very clean .the owner goes out of his way to fix any issue and sees that you have plenty of clean towels etche speaks English as does the children but his wife is difficult but she gets help ASAP

I agree with Pam S. It's a motel, a place to spend the night. This is the fourth or fifth time we've stayed here and still no complaints. ft is clean, quiet, comfortable, and reasonable. And walking distance from the Amtrak station and downtown.

We have chosen to stay at Kewanee Motor Lodge the last few times we have went there for family business. I agree it is old and not top of the line BUT why in the world would you pay over $100 a night to stay in Kewanee. We are from the Chicago area and have paid less than $100 for much more. You aren't going to live here for petes sake, just sleep. The beds are usually very comfortable, the linen is CLEAN. I have never had a dirty towel. The management is very friendly and have never had them argue with me about anything. No you do not get a pool. so if you have kids, go stay at the one out south of town as it gives them something to do. But if you are just looking to sleep and get up and travel, you are close to a resturant and for Kewanee it is a reasonable rate. (Usually between 55 and 60 bucks) I plan another trip next week and will be staying at Kewanee Motor Lodge as they provide everything I need at the price I am willing to pay.

Room Tip: We always get a king size bed and in most cases will get one on the main level so our car is right outside.
