Pere Marquette is the best getaway EVER! The lodge and the surrounding area is both beautiful and peaceful. We were married there so maybe we're a bit biased, but our 12 and 10 year old children beg to visit every year and to stay more than one night. The restaurant is good, pool is big, and hot tub is hands down the best we ever experienced. Plus there are things to do in the park and in nearby Grafton. Rooms are always clean and service is always good. Of course, fall is an ideal time to visit, but if you are in need of a getaway, Pere Marquette Lodge is great anytime.

I surprised my wife for our 40th anniversary by flying all our children into town and then having a three day escape at Pere Marquette. If you want to get away from it all this is a perfect place. The food in the lodge is outstanding and at very reasonable prices. A great place to go to get away.

We have stayed at the lodge many times. Each time we were very pleased. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant is very good and reasonable. We like to sit on the terrace with a drink and enjoy the view of the river. The wine tasting room was fun. All in all it is a great place for a nice getaway.

Room Tip: Rooms in the new section have an elevator

This is my favorite drive in Illinois . The lodge is great for a day trip or spending the night.
The restaurant is very good and it offers Vegetarian options which is rare in Illinois. Lots of nice hicking trails and the outlook views are beautiful

We have had 5 generations throughout time that have stayed at Pere Marquette Lodge in Grafton, IL. We keep going back. Love the lodge and staff and all the fun activities we do there. It is also close to the horse stables and many nice shops and restaurants to visit. Also, not far from Eckert's.

Room Tip: rooms close to the pool are noisier than the older (haunted) section. They also have cabins.
