I always order the same thing here: guacamole, which is super fresh and always tasty and chicken enchiladas with mole, which are delicious. The mole has that hint of chocolate flavor to it, and it's rich and creamy. Pair it with a guava margarita and you are in for a real treat!

El Molcajete is quite enjoyable for Mexican fare and certainly easier to get into than Bien Trucha. It is a place we frequent often when in the mood for Mexican.

Service has always been fine, nothing you would rave about but always decent.

Atmosphere is fine, nothing exciting, but in the summer they do have a nice outdoor patio space.

I think the food is really good. Everything from the chips and salsa and guacamole to the tacos and other dishes. There is a nice taco sample to try 5 smaller tacos if you haven't been here before. The hongos (mushrooms) tacos are also very good. Burritos, enchiladas, tortas are all good.

Margaritas are also very tasty.

Above average Mexican and typically not to difficult to get in.

Really disliked this place. Thought it would be cute with the red umbrellas on the roof. Poor food, decor lacking, bathrooms dirty. Will not return.

We ate here on Labor Day weekend, and the place was not too busy. We enjoyed eating out on the rooftop. It is a little tricky finding the way in. The food is pretty authentic and served on very nice china. Their chips and salsa are a little below par considering you have to pay for them. The salsa is a little too watery for my liking. The margaritas were pretty good, but over all we will try other places before we go back.

The best things about eating here are the pleasant atmosphere of the rooftop and the pleasant wait-staff. In order to have enough guacamole for four people, we ordered the guacamole appetizer. The serving of guacamole was less than generous. Four of us ordered different entrees, and not any of us were particularly impressed. Margaritas were good. $35 for a pitcher of five.
