Nice Northwoods decor throughout the Inn! The king-size bed was comfy, great whirlpool suite, nice breakfast! It was in a good location, just minutes from downtown Galena. Would definitely stay there again :)

This is a great hotel. We love the Stoney Creek Inns. Our girls were shocked to have bunk beds in our room. It was very reasonable in price, and looks brand new. The breakfast was great also. We will definitely be back.

This was my first time to Galena, as well as the other adult and the 5 children we had with us (best friends trip with our kids). The woman who checked us in was friendly and informative. The rooms were fine once we got inside them, as the key cards were very finicky and took several failed swipes before allowing entry (same case when accessing pool area). The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Around 7pm we were gathered and ready to go swimming with the kids and while waiting for everyone the kids were excited in the common area right outside our rooms (table and chairs there, small couch). Suddenly one of the front desk ladies scolded the children and told them to not jump around. She reminded us there are rooms below us and if she could hear us, so could they (she was standing in bar talking to someone sitting there before approaching us). Again, it was 7pm and the kids were excited, but not being obnoxious or out of line. I am the first person to correct my kids when needed, and I didn’t see an issue with what they were doing. The pool area was nice, as well as the hot tub. However, all the towels were out and nobody came to check them or refill the stock. I had to go out in a wet bathing suit and alert the front desk lady, who was the same lady who scolded the kids unnecessarily. When she came with the towels there were several eager people who grabbed some right away. She only put 4-5 on the shelf (there were 7 in our party alone), and she said “kids, can’t you just take one?”. I told her nobody in there had towels and more were needed. She agreed to get more but was clearly annoyed. Room was located in the front and sleeping was difficult with noise of barreling semis passing all night and the fan/AC not working properly in the room. Breakfast was crowded and not nearly enough seating. Room was hot and guests seemed agitated trying to navigate small space while gathering their breakfast. Checkout was fast, but woman who helped us could have been friendlier. With the exception of the woman who checked us in, I really feel there is an opportunity with the staff for some training on how to treat their customers. Or maybe this is how folks in Galena are? Not sure, as I mentioned earlier, this was our first visit to the area.

Very friendly customer service. Very cute place and we enjoyed our room and decor throughout. It was very reasonably priced, and it was pet friendly! It was so nice to be able to keep our cavalier Raven with us and better enjoy our trip.

Took our Shih Tzu with us for our anniversary, because we didn’t want to board him. Stoney Creek usually charges $25/day for dogs, but when we advised them that we had to bring him, they offered a “Pampered Pooch” package for $55 for all three days. Dog treats, 2 stainless bowls, a bowl-mat, poop-bags, a frisbee, and a cloth water bowl were all included! Dogs have to be crated when unattended, and they provide various sizes of crates.

As always, Stoney Creek does their best to accommodate, and are always courteous and friendly! We were extra-worried about Louie’s first trip, but Stoney Creek made it very enjoyable and easy!

They are very pet friendly! That’s why they’ll remain as our favorite stopping point in Galena!
