Husband and I were travelling with friends on vacation. We chose The Generals Restaurant in the historic DeSota House hotel downtown. So glad we did. Our waitress was Victoria - the best ever service and evening because of her genuine desire for us to enjoy our dining experience. The food was incredibly delicious. We started with a crab bisque. I highly recommend the Chicken Roulade as well as the Chilean Sea Bass. We had a wonderful bottle of Chardonnay and carrot cake for dessert. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet comfortable - very relaxing lighting with dark furniture.
We did not stay at the hotel but plan to in the future - it is a remarkably renovated historic building - everything so tastefully done. A most enjoyable evening!
