Chose Jake Melnick’s for dinner with the family when we were looking for casual eats. I had had eaten at Jake’s many years ago and enjoyed it, it was fun to go back.
My son has a dairy allergy, so we called ahead to ask about their chicken tenders. Everyone we talked to was very friendly and provided us with good news! He can eat the chicken fingers (no dairy, but for others I believe they are cooked in the same fryer as everything else). This made my son happy and set the positive tone for our meal.
The adults had nachos (with extra plain chips on the side for the kids at $1 extra), bbq chicken (moist and yummy), and my wife got peanut butter and jelly wings, which she said were amazing.
Add to the good meal and friendly wait staff, basketball on TV, and a good craft beer and cocktail list. If I lived in Chicago, I might become a regular.
