So this place is clean and well kept - however it is not super modern or cutting edge - the Peking is AWSOME and you can actually have a stay like we did 30 years ago - fo a place in Chicago you cannot beat the price - and like I said it’s clean and well kept!

I first stayed here in 2005, and again in 2018. It has pretty much remained exactly the same. If you're on a budget and don't mind being far from downtown, then this is the place for you.

For Chicago accommodations, this is really good in terms of price. You'll get the feeling of the "side of the road motel" when staying here. Nothing special or alarming about it. It's a standard motel at reasonable prices. The sheets are clean, the bathroom works, they're even so retro that they haven't converted to flat-screens yet. The Wi-Fi is pretty weak, but it works (hopefully you're close to the base station).

If you don't have a car, this motel is located a 10ish minute walk to the Red Line and even less of a walk to the White Castle.

The continental breakfast is slightly lacking. You can choose from packaged pastries, I think they had some cereal or oatmeal. The orange juice is cheap and the coffee is instant. Really nothing special, so don't let breakfast be a selling point.

A throwback to the motels of the 60's, but the room was clean and the a/c cold. The a/c fan was a bit loud, but I just considered it white noise and slept fine. The one downside was the desk didn't have ea place to plug in my laptop, so I had to work off the nightstand next to the bed.

This is the motel that you go to if you are visiting Chicago for a couple of days to attend a sports event, without your spouse. Everything is clean and comfortable and affordable with free parking, but it is not a luxury hotel. The a/c was serviceable. Didn't try the free breakfast, but sure it would satisfy. Close to the Clark 22 CTA bus line. Early morning traffic is noisy but you can shut out the light very easily.

Been here many many times. Comfortable, clean, and great location. Hope the motel does not get pushed out someday by developing neighborhood because it's a historic gem. It is close to busy roads so some rooms are quieter than others. Free wifi is a plus when many 4-5 star hotels make you pay. However, wifi can be a bit shaky on the west side of the motel. Parking is free and convenient.
