The zoo was great, parking is a hassle and it is easy to drive by and end up on I94 by mistake. But well worth the trip. Park in the Lincoln Park Conservatory lot, it's $13 but well worth it!

Honestly at first, I felt bad for the animals, but the people there take such good care of them, and they seem really happy !! Free , no hassle food and no prey !! haha It's a very beautiful and BIG zoo !! Be sure you have an entire day and lots of batteries for your camera !

this is a great zoo in the middle of the city on the north side. Its a great attraction for kids and all others all times of the year. They have a lot of activities there not just for the kids, they have lot of volunteering opportunites at the zoo. They are next to the lily pond and its located in an amazing area. They have lights all around just after fall - called the lincoln park zoo lights around the holiday season (November)

All in all a great place to visit all round the year.

Chicagoland has 2 great zoos and Lincoln Park is one of them. The zoo is in the heart of Lake View right off the lake and is lovely to visit anytime of the year. I love to go in the spring and fall. My grand-daughter always tells me it is her favorite place to go so we go alot.

Chicago's well loved zoo is still free. It is a great place to see Chicago's plethora of types of families speaking many different languages. At Christmas time, Zoo Lights is always a fun visit.
