We stayed here for two nights and can not speak highly enough of the property or the staff. The only downside is the remoteness of the location but that is what we wanted.
We have toured Southern Africa a lot and stayed in many, many places that were not a patch on this place.
Set in beautiful grounds with a decent pool and an onsite restaurant, this property is an ideal stopping point to Safari from.
The rooms are basic but they have sufficient ( Mini fridge, kettle, AC unit, phone, TV, safe, etc) within them to ensure your stay is catered for well enough.
I am so pleased the staff aided us when we needed some medical attention. It was not an emergency but my wife needed to see a doctor. The team at the hotel called the local town, arranged a consultation and ferried us there and back. On our return I wanted to pay for the journey but they would not take any money, just to know my wife had received treatment was sufficient payment. Outstanding customer focused service. My wife’s ailment was in no related to the property.
We ate three meals here. Breakfast is not worth the money and should be avoided but both evening meals we had were of good quality and as the two of us had a different meal each evening, we can say four meals in total were very good.
This is not a luxury hotel, this is fairly priced, in the country, safari style property and we really enjoyed it.
We took the safari from here too, we had 2 very, very close experiences with elephants by the jeep. The driver clearly knew where to find them as we were alone for the first and on the second joined by other groups once we had stopped.
