Owner description: AN IDAHO TRADITION Capturing the Unique Character of Every Vintage... Our goal at Ste. Chapelle is to capture the unique character of every vintage. Fine wine production in Idaho began in the 1860s, spurred by French and German immigrants. Indeed, the Pacific Northwest’s first wineries were in Idaho. In 1919, Prohibition shut down the state’s nationally renowned wine industry, but it was revived in the 1970s when wine grapes were again planted in southern Idaho’s Snake River Valley. The winery, founded in 1976, is open seven days a week. Experience the quality of Ste. Chapelle wines through wine tasting. For a $5 fee, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will guide you through a tasting of five wines. Tasting fee waived for our Friends of the Vineyard wine club members. Experience the Excitement of the Grape Crush... During fall harvest, visitors can experience the excitement of the grape crush in full swing. At other times, guides take guests through the cellars for an up-close tour of the processes of fermentation, aging and bottling. Beautiful, Elegant Facility & Award Winning Wines... Ste Chapelle Winery is a collage of fun, knowledgeable staff, award-winning wines and a beautiful, elegant facility. Our facility hosts weddings, corporate events, auctions, parties and meetings. Private Events - for additional information please complete our short "Request for More Event Information form" on our website, or contact our Hospitality Coordinator. The Ste. Chapelle Winery is the perfect getaway to host a memorable affair! Tours by appointment only, please call to make arrangements.

This is one of my favorite wines, so when we were planning our road trip, I had to make an off course stop here. The drive to the winery is nice and actually rather short.

The winery itself is beautiful. We made reservations for a 3pm tour and got there early enough to do our wine sampling. The tour is $5 and thats comes with a wine glass souvenir (stemmed or stemmed less) and the wine tasting.

We had two girl tour guides. They were very funny and knowledgeable about the making of wine and the company they worked for.

If you go, I suggest you try the Huckleberry wine. I got a couple bottles, but we managed to drink them all that night. Guess I better start planning a weekend trip to Idaho.

We took my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and our boys. Got there around noon on a Thursday. Stayed for maybe an hour. You get a free wine glass (stemmed or stemless) with the logo etched nicely on it with 6 pours from any 6 wines you choose for $5.00.

My dream IS coming true! Saw it in the Boise Statesman "scene" section yesterday -- this Sunday, it's the Father's Day concert at the incredibly beautiful Ste. Chapelle Winery with Steve & Marcus Eaton. It's all amazing -- the wine, the dancing and people-watching, beautiful early, almost-summer valley, and the amazing singer-songwriters, father/son duo, Steve Eaton & Marcus Eaton. Both are professional recording artists in solo careers -- jazz, blues, country, pop...they do it all! Bringing my own picnic and chairs/blanket, but they'll have a food vendor too. (cigar tent this time for dads)....caution -- no outside alcohol, but you can buy wine/beer on prem. Great price - $10 per person for all afternoon ( including wine tasting). If you get there around 12:30, you can pick a great shady spot on the lawn.
