I've just completed my "bucket list" 7200+ mile drive across the US. I stayed in many different hotels/motels along my 22 state trek, rarely more than one night. I was in Boise 22-24 June as I was enamored with the city. As I never knew where I'd be more than a day in advance, I called the Residence Inn either that day or the night before and was able to get a suite.
It was clean, convenient, well-laid out and quiet. The full kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils and well-functioning appliances. Breakfast was great. The location was very convenient. I am a walker and was able to walk to Boise State University campus and stadium, downtown Boise and the capital building---all while able to leave my car at the inn.
The employees were all helpful and polite. The "piece de resistance," however, was one particular employee, the executive housekeeper (not sure if I should use names here, so I won't). I left a very important item in the room and called the next day to see if it had been found. She said she'd check, called me back fairly quickly and offered to send it to me.....and did so. Couldn't have asked for more.More
