Description: Family style, made from scratch Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The Best in Boise and the Northwest. Everything is prepared by one chef. That chef happens to be my Mother You can expect an extensive beer selection with micro-brews, IPA"s, Porters, and international favorite. Over 40 to choose from at any given day. You can expect food made from scratch to your liking, and entree's you won't find at your typical curry in a can Indian Diner. Expect spices to be cooked right when you order them, an extensive Vegan and Vegetarian selection. Expect a good time at an amazing location in the heart of Downtown Boise with an owner operated business. We have a lunch buffet everyday that allows for a quick lunch. If you're coming in for dinner, we hope you're not in a rush, our beers and wines are here for you to relax because the cost of home-style food is a bit longer wait time. The freshness and flavors of our dinner are meant to be savored and explored. We look forward to your visit!

Many Indian restaurants tone down the spice for America palettes, but not here. The food is tasty and has the appropriate level of kick. Taj is good for either dinner or the lunch buffet although the lunch buffet could use a little more choice. Dining room is nicely decorated but a bit cramped. No A/C, so beware of going on a hot day.

My husband lived in India for six months and said this is by far the best Indian food he's ever had. I have less experience with Indian food, but I know delicious when I taste it. They have a huge variety and offer both gluten free and vegetarian options. The chef doesn't use any prepared spice mixtures, so any dish can be customized to your liking. We came here for our anniversary and went back with friends the following weekend. The portions are large, so we opted to eat family style on our second visit.

The spice scale seems accurate. We ordered medium and it was enough to give it a good kick without overwhelming the flavor. If you're not a fan of spicy food, definitely go for mild only though!

This restaurant is a little pricier than what we usually go for, but it's worth it. The food has a well balanced flavor, is not greasy, the meat is tender, and my stomach felt good after eating here. (I usually can't say that when we go out to eat anywhere.) They also had kombucha, which pairs surprisingly well with Indian food and helps tone down the spicier dishes.

Generally I wasn't impressed by the atmosphere, service, or appetizers. It's a strange, hard-to-describe restaurant. If you are a fan of chicken biryani though, they do it right.

When part of the family is sickened the healthy are hungry for great Thai food, what to do? Call UberEats. We did not go to the restaurant so cannot comment on ambiance or, service but with speedy delivery directly to our door we can rate the food as excellent. Sushi is fresh and perfectly seasoned. Curry can be as spicy as desired featuring one's protein of choice. The honey duck is simply amazing, and the greens are a perfect accompaniment. While we look forward to visit in person, on this occasion the home delivery option was exactly what the doctor ordered.
