I couldn't believe how inexpensive tickets were, compared to museum tickets downtown! The ticket price is $9 ($7 for military) and it includes access to the top of the lighthouse, all of the cottages, and the armament museum across the street.
Everyone working in the area was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. It was fascinating to hear about the stages of developing the lighthouse, as well as Tybee Island itself. I also appreciated hearing about the lives of the lighthouse watchmen, how they got supplies and fresh water, and what their houses looked like.
This museum is a must for anyone visiting Tybee Island. Definitely the best museum in the Savannah area, for the cost.
