We sat in the rooftop dining area and it was wonderful. The waitstaff was great and very attentive. We went during happy hour. We had the pork rolls, wings, fried pickles, and nachos for the table. They were are all good.

So, we have a thing for rooftop establishments...we tend to love the view, so we figured we'd take in the newest rooftop place close to home. We visited Creatwood on Easter Sunday...we called ahead to make sure they were open...and they were. When we arrived we could choose from the ground floor dining room or the rooftop...obviously we took the higher ground!

Their menu had recently changed we were told, it's fairly limited as is their wine list...but our server went above and beyond in determining what was or might not be gluten free for us. We began with the pimento cheese deviled eggs with sirracha oil. They were tasty...although I'm not quite sure they contained or tasted like pimento cheese...but that was okay! The hubby ordered a burger with a gluten free bun, alas no french fries because they are beer battered, but he opted for a small salad instead (which is healthier anyway, right?) I had a salad...we were quite happy with everything we got. We would have likely enjoyed a glass of wine, but they were truly limited in wine offerings...now if you are a beer drinker...you'll be in nirvana...they have the latest and greatest from Scofflaw and the brewery that makes Tropicalia...along with lots of others! Service was a tad bit slow, but there were a ton of people on the roof and many families and some folks either headed to or from the Braves game. Per the table placard, Creatwood offers shuttle service to the Braves games if you dine there, but call ahead to see how that works as they were also suggesting you Uber home after being shuttled back to the restaurant---at least that's the way it read to me.

The clientele was eclectic the night we were there, and some of the kids were playing corn hole, but there were all ages except for very young children there. The most interesting thing to me about the view from Creatwood are the trains that whiz by....the biggest distraction is the nearness of powerlines that kind of detract from the line of sight.

All in all, I'd say it's worth a visit!

We became aware of this place when we saw an advertisement for their rare rooftop bar in Smyrna. While we didn't use the rooftop on this occasion, choosing to sit outside on the patio, that was the original draw. We started our meal with a few beers, the draft selection is decent and has a pretty sound variety. If you can't find it on tap, they have a substantial collection in bottles and cans. We opted for the BBQ pork rolls for an appetizer, this was the highlight of the meal, they are amazing. We got a variety of dishes and sides for our main meal and everything tasted great; however, the hamburger (which was ordered medium rare) was overdone. Throughout the experience the service was great. Not only did we have a wonderful primary server, they did a great job of "server by committee" which allowed the service to be even a little bit better. We enjoyed ourselves very much and regret that we don't live closer to Smyrna.
