We accidentally stumbled upon Emidio about a year ago and it has become a go to spot. A family owned and run Portuguese restaurant with both spouses usually in attendance along with at least one son. Food is consistently good if not great, portions relatively large (mussels as appetizer for $10 can almost be a meal), wines are good and with less mark up than usual. Importantly for us, the place is quiet and even us older folk without the best hearing can carry on a conversation over a leisurely meal

Yum... had the garlic soup to start & ended with the coconut almond cake. From beginning to end, delish! Family owned restaurant -when you come in you become a part of the family. Yes, we will be back...

The food is Portuguese, and the service is attentive to details, like splitting a salad, and accommodating dietary restrictions. I had veal Madeira, which came with 3 vegetables, while my spouse finished a large plate of seafood with saucy tomatoes and rice. Both portions were plentiful and flavorful for an early Sunday dinner. A thoroughly enjoyable feast.

Five of us visited this great restaurant to celebrate family member's graduation from nursing school. A very quiet night, but extremely pleasant to visit. Gracious greeting from staff, white table linens, nice décor, Great reasonable menu choices from seafood dishes to steak. I had the salmon with shrimp in a tomato sauce along with green/yellow squash and a perfect pear - mashed potatoes shaped into a pear and lightly crisped! Absolutely delicious! Others had spaghetti with various fillers - chicken, veggies, fish, etc. All this was accompanied by a delicious Douro red wine - Charamba Reserva 2015 - suggested by wait staff. Fabulous! Rush out to find this place and enjoy terrific food/ambience.

We had 20 people at my sister's 80th Birthday party. The chief and staff made it a very special event. The food was outstanding and a special coconut birthdaycake was the hit of the party. Everyone enjoyed everything! Great place to celebrate a special occasion.
