The house in the woods with great view to mountains is quiet and has all you need for a pleasant stay.
The evenings on the veranda with the mountain view are really nice!
Complete kitchen and laundry are also there with everything you need.
Wow. Utopia was an absolutely amazing place to stay. My family and I booked a week in June. The home was HUGE! It came fully stocked with basic needs such as trash bags, toilet paper, towels, etc. We had plenty of room for my kids and our pup. The most amazing thing about the property was by far, the view. We spent all of our nights on the back porch cooking and watching the sun go down, which was around 8:30 at this time of year. We had such a fantastic time, in fact, that we chose to extend our stay another night.
The home owner, Melissa, was very easy to talk to and extremely quick and thorough with her responses. We found Rabun Gap to be a great central location to all of our favorite Smokey Mountain areas (Pisgah National Forest, Bryson City, Highlands, etc.). The surrounding towns had plenty of food and activities to spend time at (we recommend Goats on the Roof!)
My family and I would absolutely stay at Utopia again and highly recommend it to others!
We booked a three night stay for a family getaway and it was a great experience. Melissa was prompt in her responses and information. The home was neat-as-a-pin clean. There were ample supplies of linens and blankets, tissue, paper towels and soap. The kitchen was stocked with the basic supplies and ample dishes and cookware. As far as location, it's in a mountainside community, but the houses are spaced so that there is a great deal of privacy and it is convenient to Black Rock Mountain State Park. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the sliding glass doors across the back of the house and from the back porch.

We particularly enjoyed the prevacy of the area, the magnificent view from the property, the floor plan of the cabin, the quality of construction of the cabin and the spacious parking area. We would enjoy returning if the opportunity presents itself.

Well, the view was awesome as seen in pictures however we got to the home, got unpacked and of course headed for the bathroom only to find no toilet paper!!! Not a good thing so be sure to bring it as it is not furnished. The home was clean as stated but had a very musty smell to it maybe just from not being rented often. I'm not sure. Lots of air freshener a all around but they definitely could have been replaced. The home has pretty good access to it but you will have to travel a short distance on a gravel road. The washer and dryer is not located in the home but outside in another building so not too useful when it's raining as it did with us. The mountains were beautiful as they always are.
