Had high hopes with the latest eatery addition to The Avenues. Decor was on point and very inviting, but left with a so, so experience.
Ordered an ice coffee that unfortunately was weak and tasteless. Charged .99 for almond milk creamer that I didn’t receive because they were out of it. Typically creamer comes with coffee so was surprised to have been charged. It was taken off my bill after I made mention of it to the server about it.
Originally asked for cold brew and was told
they don’t carry it, however upon leaving I noticed Cold Brew is on the menu board by the bar. Inquired and was told they don’t offer it and aren’t sure they ever will. Not sure why it’s mentioned on the menu board then??
Although semi trivial and not a deal breaker, it did take a minute to find the soap dispenser in the restroom. Not clearly placed it was on the far side hidden at first glance by the large paper towel dispenser. Poor placement, however an easy fix to move.
The server did graciously offer a military discount of which was very generous.
Despite my disappointing first time visit I will go once more and try the lunch menu. Possibly all of these mishaps can be chalked up to working the kinks out of a new restaurant. Time will tell.
