The chalet is easily accessible to restaurants, activities, etc. in Hiawassee. We loved the porch overlooking the lake and believe it would be a great spot to supervise children playing in the edge of the water. The owners' love for this chalet was evident in the small decorative touches throughout. They also seem to have thought of everything, so there was never anything we wanted or needed that they hadn't provided. We loved our brief time in their piece of heaven.
I can’t wait to go back. The views were wonderful and the chalet hosts were great. The chalet was decorated so very nice and very very clean.
Great place to stay, this is the second time we have stayed her, great location plenty of room for us, nice dock...couldn't ask for anything more for a lake trip.
I wanted a nice cabin on the lake with a view to spend Christmas.
It was a nice cozy cabin and stocked with everything you could need to feel like you were at home. It was clean, neat and pet friendly. Nice colors and very roomy, I would stay there again but just moved to Hiawassee and will not need to.
We wanted to escape the extra hot and humid summer in Florida and this totally fit the bill. Initially, it was misty and rained off and on and we didn't care! Those days we enjoyed reading on the front porch while gentle breezes cooled us!
The location was great! 2 miles into town, easy to find directions. Our two small dogs enjoyed themselves in the broad lawn leading to the lake, but the water was too shallow for them to play in. We also brought our Sea Doo watercraft and enjoyed having the dock on property. We golfed in Hayesville at The Ridges which was about a 20 minute drive, and that too was very nice, albeit the course is recovering from financial problems.
The cabin is exactly as the photos show.Very clean. Suggestions would be that a King size bed would be nice, bunk beds in the kitchen were weird. Reduce some of the clutter. One night i was awakened to a piercing alarm going off at 2:00 AM, I could not find the source in my sleepiness, finally discovered it was a plug in carbon monoxide detector!! Dogs barking...you get the picture?
Pushed the button to turn it off to no avail, pulled from the wall outlet, still did not work, FINALLY put it outside near the car to get some sleep and could still hear it. Then began thinking we would die from carbon monoxide!! Finally got to sleep around 4:00 AM, only to have the alarm clock go off at 4:15 am!!
Needless to say, I was not a happy camper, but my hubby who wear sleeping aids slept like a baby!!
