This was our first time at the park and it was a pleasantly relaxing trip. The lodge is very expansive with 4 different buildings for lodge rooms. A-C are all renovated and updated and D is still being updated. We were B on the ground level.

The room is nice, very cool barn door leading to the newly updated bathroom which we really liked. The chairs in the room are cute but not very comfy. The beds were a tad bit uncomfortable but not very, just not as comfy as we had hoped. There was a rather large fridge and a coffee maker. They offer Starbuck's branded decaf and regular coffee but no tea (which I expected so I brought my own).

The common areas had lots of indoor seating, a fireplace and TV. That area could use a bit of updating but the views were the best part!

There are tons of outdoor gathering and seating areas which were nice.

The cafe is a hidden gem. Its in the main building on the 3rd floor. Friendly staff and great food. I absolutely loved my unicoi burger..amazing and the fresh fruit and zucchini and squash were a great addition to the meal. They also had a decent wine list.

The Adventure store on the 3rd floor was nice as well. Some cool gear, snacks, drinks and a few items such as medicine that we forgot to bring. Very friendly staff there as well.

The grounds are simply breathtaking! The views are amazing with lots of areas to get lost and e joy some peace and quiet.

There were only a few cons: we heard a dog barking after 10 p.m. and the floors must be thin between floors as it seemed as if the people above us were stomping constantly but we assumed that it just seemed like it. This made sleeping a tad bit hard when they came but they arrived the last night. The beds were a little stiff and the blanket wafer thin ( we doubled up) but those are not game changers for us. We had a very relaxing stay and will come back.

Another note: we used a Groupon offer but there is a 12.99 fee added per day that is above the amount paid for with the Groupon. Again, this was not a game changer for us.

We were also very happy that downtown Helen was a 5 minute drive.

Room tip: Ask for a renovated room on the top floor for great views and less noise.

Wonderful trip - had fun at the rifle and tomahawk lessons & the zip line trip. Good customer service and a beautiful park. We stayed in one of the barrel cabins and it was spacious and the view from the deck was spectacular. Lots of birds and a sense of privacy when we were on the deck. Would recommend to families who like the outdoors!!

We really enjoy out cabin and the state park. Lots of things to do with the family. Anna Ruby falls is definitely worth the uphill trail walk. Definitely coming back to this place. Our kids enjoy the trails and playgrounds.

When our cabin became unexpectedly unavailable due to maintenance Sarah worked tirelessly to get us into something that could accommodate our large family while keeping us near our friends that we traveled with. The kids loved the cabin. Lots of outdoor adventures for the whole family. Sarah and Danielle got us all set up with the peddle boats and archery. Tim did a great job showing our kids how to use a bow and arrow for the first time.

We got a good deal through Groupon. The staff was very helpful and we were able to get an early check-in and late check-out. Fireplaces throughout the lodge which were nice on a cold rainy night. We would definitely stay here again.
