We weren't sure what to expect but were not disappointed. Our waiter was very impressive with his knowledge of the menu and specials. The chef and table side preparations were entertaining to watch the choices of ingredients that went into a dish.
We had a career salad, filet with mashed potatoes, lobster bisque, bouillabaisse, Caesar salad and chocolate cream pie with coffee. Special drinks were enjoyed, called Uptown Pink. Their pies are made in-house with an old-fashioned recipe. Very nice environment and lovely presentation.

Decided to go here after reading the reviews and seeing it was rated so well on Trip Advisor. We have been looking for higher end restaurants in the NE Georgia area after relocating from Chicagoland. We definitely found it with Viande Rouge!! Our server Jacob was amazing. He was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about his food selections and pairings. He did not disappoint. We both had a filet mignon with the blue cheese and bacon topping along with asparagus. The filet were cooked perfectly and as tender as butter with the flavor of hickory and the juiciness of the steak. Our cocktails were poured very nice. We took our servers recommendation again and had the bananas foster for dessert, which is prepared table side. It was simply divine. I had never had bananas foster that rich and complex in flavor before. We topped our night off with a white chocolate martini and a VR dessert martini that I can’t remember the name of but it was amazing as well. A mixture of kahlua, frangelico, gran marnier, and a few other items.

We will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great date night for us!!!

Viande Rouge was a great date night for our first visit.

We arrived a few minutes early for an 8:00 p.m. reservation. Based on the reservation scheduling app, I assumed fixed seating. I was surprised to see a number of empty seats on a busy Friday night...but it was very cold out.

It took several minutes before anyone approached our table or acknowledged our presence. Once our waiter introduced himself, things went better. He was young and inexperienced but did a good job, nonetheless.

The bread service seemed a bit odd. First, they brought out a basket of flatbread crackers with two spreads. Then, a server came by offering a choice of breads. Then they brought the salads with grilled bread. It was all good...just seemed like a carb overload and somewhat uncoordinated.

We started with the Wedge Salads. A lot of lettuce, almost seemed like a small head of lettuce rather than a wedge. It was very good, but a little light on the fixin’s.

We split the 18 oz Dry-Aged Bone-In Ribeye - it was perfectly prepared and a very good steak. Also ordered the grilled asparagus and Pommes Frites - both were excellent. It is difficult to get good fries, but these were everything I expected. We ordered a bottle of Bordeaux. It was an inexpensive (for a restaurant) bottle with a screw cap but it was good.

My wife ordered the Creme Brûlée for dessert. That’s her “Go To” dessert and it was very good. A friend suggested the soufflé - I’d suggest that for the next visit.

Parking was on premise; no valet needed. That was very convenient.
