It is a pretty place and it was very clean. No elevator and not really handicap friendly. If you can’t handle stairs ask for bottom floor. Room was nice and clean and updated but some small issues. We had book a room with a fold out couch since we are two friends and wanted different beds. They called and asked how many we had in party and moved us to a different room. We then realized maybe the room change didn’t include the fold out couch. So we didn’t get the room we originally booked because they made this change. They need to fix some little things. Not enough toilet paper in room. Had to use the tissue paper in the middle of the night. Shower was different and almost needed instructions. The site mentions breakfast but breakfast is only Friday and Saturday. Lots of construction on neighbors site as a new building is being built right next door. But location is great.

A one night visit in a quaint little town. There are some nice things about this hotel. Great location and it’s clean. The main thing I want in a hotel is a good night’s sleep. I’m not getting one here. The mattress/ bed is one of the most warped, uncomfortable and loudest I’ve ever slept in (Crescent Room). Sheets/ blanket are fine but I’m awake in the middle of the night because I’m so uncomfortable. I really can’t describe how loud the bed is if you move. I’ve noticed other reviews where it says they need a new mattress. Some people say it very comfortable, so it must depend on the room. Make sure you don’t get this one. $240 a night?

There is a limited amount of nice hotels in the area and we blocked rooms for our event there. We reached the appropriate limit to get our deposit back one day after the cut off, but were only one less than needed before.
They would not cut us any slack or partial refund. Some of the rooms aren’t that great so make sure you check them out before choosing. No elevator so not ideal if handicapped and on second floor.
The staff were friendly however and some of the rooms were fine. Would consider using.

We like staying in hotels that are not chains. The Park Place is a quaint boutique hotel. The website accurately describes the rooms...request second floor (no elevator, see below)
There is easy access to the shops and restaurants around Dahlonega Square...the little extras are nice.

Our room was on the first floor...my rating would have been higher except for the following...
there were no black out curtains
it was noisy as guest traveled back and forth on the sidewalk at our bedroom window
we could hear the guest upstairs talking in the early evening and then snoring around 4 a.m.

An eye mask, ear plugs and a sound machine would have been a perfect addition to a lovely suite.

My family and I stayed here a couple of nights after Christmas. We loved this quaint hotel! It was right on the square and walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The room was very nice and clean. It was very spacious for our family of 6. It seemed more like a condo than a hotel room. The staff was great and very attentive. We would definitely recommend it and we plan to stay here again when we return!
