My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway to The Overlook. It was the perfect place. So relaxing. Such a beautiful place. We will be back again in 3 weeks. This is our new romantic getaway retreat.

We really enjoyed our stay in the 'Moon Eye' Room at Overlook Inn. It was very relaxing and cozy. The views of the mountains at this Bed and Breakfast were amazing. Our room had a Hot tub on the screen porch. Everything was so lovely. Back to the Food...It was so good and I want all of the recipes of what was served so that I can try them out at home. You definitely want to check this place out if you are coming to the area.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. Mike and Lynn were great hosts. Not overly chatty and not too reserved. They were polite and great hosts.

All the food was good. Some better than others. We went for the extra-dinner to not have to drive 20-25 minutes to Ellijay, and it was just ok. Fish was slightly over-cooked and the chicken was ok. The rest of it was flavorful and well-thought out. The bottle of wine at our table was a nice touch as well. The afternoon cheese and wine was a nice touch as well. The desert was apple dumplings with ice cream that was to die for. We took advantage of the afternoon coffee that is always brewing. The breakfast in the morning is well-worth it. They served us banana bread, yogurt parfait, and eggs Benedict. Mike made a great breakfast. The views overlooking the mountains in the morning were picturesque.

The rooms were nice and quaint. The Inn is old, so be sure to know that noises can be heard throughout the evening. The rooms were most-definitely private. We went for the hot tub room and enjoyed privacy out there. The bed in the Moon Eye was hard and stiff for our liking, as we didn't particularly sleep well. My wife and I are still young and don't have back issues. We don't normally have sleeping issues but this wasn't a restful night. The rest of the private accommodations were amazing. We enjoyed the gardens in the afternoon and the coffee and private porch in the mornings.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Overlook Inn. It was worth our time and money. We plan to come back and stay for an extra night. When you stay at a BnB, you expect your accommodations to be thoughtful and private. Mike and Lynn know how to deliver. The views, breakfast, and hospitality is what we will remember most.

We spent 2 nights at the Inn and loved it!! We wanted to stay 3 nights but there wasn't any availability the first night we were in town. The Inn was very clean which is most important to me. When you first walk in there is s faint cabinly smell. It was nice. They have games galore, a tv and lots of books in the main room. Soft music plays in the background. The Inn Keepers were just as sweet as can be. They were very helpful. We stated in the Fieldstone. Comfy bed, clean and we enjoyed the jacuzzi.

The only suggestions I would give are the bathroom light across from fieldstone, the one above the sink doesn't seem to work. It's kind of dark in there without that. And feeling that you need to get up early and dress for dinner for breakfast at 830 am stinks. We were there to take it easy and would've preferred to get up and go to breakfast in our comfy clothes but that was frowned upon. Thanks for a great couple of days. We hope to come back again.

My wife and I just spent two relaxing nights at the this lovely mountain get away spot. No fuss. Just threw a few items in a bag and headed out. It's a perfect location, only about an hour and ten minute drive from Chattanooga, but on the crest of Fort Mountain where the night stars glisten and a cool breeze blows in the evenings.

Breakfast was wonderful both days. Lynn and Mike Anderson personally oversaw breakfast preparations in a warm and friendly environment. We took time to do a little hiking at Fort Mountain State Park and explored Elijay a bit.

The 1907 Restaurant was our find there. We'll be back to The Overlook Inn whenever we need a quick 'get outta town' weekend wind down. And we're likely to take a Sunday drive to Elijay for another meal at The 1907.

A great weekend. Thank you Mike and Lynn.
