I actually live at Madison Green, This is a fantastic community with a great golf course and a really nice restaurant on the grounds. Course is best for really good golfers.
Only if the management would spend some money to improve the course conditions. The course layout is quite good. I really like it and it is quite challenging. Loads of water that is in play. Sand traps are in strategic spots. Greens were recently "top dressed" with sand...but they are usually pretty good.
Driving range is a disgrace...more dirt then grass, fairways need more seeding...too many bare spots. Tees are barely ok.
We did not eat there, only played golf. Price for a public course "in season" is slightly high.
Challenging well maintained track.
Lots of water, and blind tee shots.
The breeze challenges you.
Reserve on golfnow for a good deal
Madison Green is in very good condition from the tees through the fairways to the greens. Even in the height of the summer heat, the course is green all over. Challenging course with much water and tight fairways. You have to play the course smart rather than an attitude of "let it rip". The course is not a typical Florida layout and is one of the most picturesque you will find. The 18 month membership offering is by far the best deal around.
We visited friends and played 18 holes here yesterday. Course is challenging, a lot of water and sand, but we enjoyed the day. Course is well kept up and staff is friendly.
The first impression isn't the best with an anemic pro shop that has just a spattering of items. It just gives you this feel that they are on a very low budget. Not many people working there and they have cameras on the greens. I would imagine to help them manage the rounds vs Rangers?... I haven't seen anything like that before. The rate was about 40 per golfer which is ok. We had fun and the course is difficult but I would prefer to go to a course that is serious about the game. Just feels like someone's investment that doesn't care about or play golf. Also the tee times were rather tight so the play is very slow.
