Imagine a Motel 6, that they upgraded the interior a bit to slightly richer furnishings and marble countertops. That's what this is like.

Bathroom had some mold around shower. Noise from pool which was filled with kids and stays open until 11pm, was a bit much and would affect 1/2 the rooms in the motel.

The pool is the same tiny pool you'd expect at any motor hotel on Route 66.

The breakfast buffet was pretty close to inedible, unless you set your bar super low. Extremely cheap ingredients - worst included breakfast I've ever seen. One day I picked at a couple bites and threw the plate away, and didn't bother coming back for breakfast the second day. Worst coffee... if that was even what it was, I've ever seen.

Look. I come across as a hotel snob here and I'm sorry. But the "resort fee" is beyond ridiculous, and the food terrible, and clearly this is a hotel just trying to extract an extra buck. When you see the name of this hotel and then see the actual hotel, you'll see exactly what I mean.

I would recommend this to young families, especially with lots of kids. The kids won't mind, and you can feed them cheap on the buffet and let them run wild around the pool or at the nearby beach to your hearts content.

But if you are looking for anything other than a slightly nicer than average motor hotel, keep driving North.

Room Tip: Get Marina Side to avoid pool noise. Set your expectations really low and you won't be disappointed.

Not on the beach. They advertise boat docks but really only have 1 available. All others are long-term leased by the Boat Club.

ONE bottle of water per day. Yes, I ask.

No towels at the pool repeatedly and the beach is toxic with Red Tide Algae Bloom with no known end date.
Dated hallways and exterior.
Rooms were nice with nice wood cabinets.
Room staff worked hard.
Management. Not impressed with females response.

I stayed in several areas over 3 months.

Due to the 390 Tons of dead fish that have been removed on the entire West side gulf coast, IF your goal is to go to the typically stunning, clean and soft sand beaches, do not pay $1. for a rental or a buy.

Room Tip: Walk. Parking has a charge per hour. This hotel only provided 1 parking space per room. Only top floor can see the ocean.

Lucked into a great deal for this stay and was it ever one of the best! Clean, quiet, spacious room (317) with wet bar, good size mini refrigerator, and coffee maker. Super comfortable beds. Every staff member, from check in, to housekeeping, to maintenance, to the Tiki bar, to the breakfast lounge, always greeted us with a friendly smile and excellent service. Pool was great, and the municipal beach was just a short walk across the street. Wi-Fi was strong and consistent and there was a PC and printer available near the lobby for guest use.
And the free breakfast every morning was amazing! Fully stocked with many hot and cold choices. Waffles, a daily rotating meat choice, scrambled eggs most days, but breakfast bisquits on others, hash brown tots, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, bagels, cereal, etc. Always fresh and delicious and plenty of seating both inside and out.
Balcony overlooking the marina gave us great views of sunrise, rainbows, a couple of evening lightning storms, osprey fishing, and even manatees one day.
One of the best stays I've ever had.

Room Tip: Marina view rooms are more quiet than the ones overlooking the pool area.
