Our stay at Island Inn was amazing. The staff at the Island Inn are kind and very helpful. The view of the Gulf is breathtaking! It is a quiet place with a lot of things to do around the condo area. The only note I would make on the condo itself is, if you are a coffee drinker, this condo has a 1 cup/single serve type keurig coffee pot, not a 10 cup style coffee maker if you plan on bringing your own coffee or want coffee in your room in the a.m. Here are some fun places that you have to visit. Most are within walking distance or you can take the trolley for $5.00 for the day: Johns Pass (of course) shops, food, boat tours, Gators by Johns Pass has excellent food and drinks plus watch the dolphins in the bay, Bubba Gumps, fun place with food and drinks at Johns Pass. Caddy's on the beach within walking distance of condo, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, live music every night! Drunken Clam in St. Petersburg-great wings, KaTiki-$2.00 Bloody Mary Sundays, cheap food and drinks, live music every night, Salty Rim-food and drinks, Sloppy Joes-Food and Drinks, Ricky T's- 3 bars , live music, food and drinks, Sea Dog Brewing-Great Beer, live music, and food, Sea Hags, great food, and the Taco Bus for cheap food. Publix grocery store is 5 mins down the road. If you are into dive bars Mahaffer's Bar is the place to go in Indian shores. Everything you can think of hangs from the bar, from clothing to signed dollar bills. Here is their motto: Warm Beer, Lousy Food, Sometimes Live Music, Sometimes Live Food, you never know what you'll find at MAHUFFER'S. The beach is amazing to walk every morning as you can go from St. Petes all the way up to Clearwater. I highly recommend this place and hope I can go back again sometime soon. I would definitely book this room again or any other condo rental thru I-trip. Liz with I-trip was amazing and very helpful with everything!
Nice place especially if you ask for the updated rooms. The staff was nice and helpful but they will not stock towels, wash clothes etc we had 4 people but they only wanted to leave 2 towels. They said they were short on them. It’s an Inn during Easter weekend and Spring Break they should be prepared.
My most irritating complaint at every hotel, motel or Inn is the housekeeping will not wear gloves. They should not be touching dirty linens and towels etc with bare hands and cleaning toilets then going to the next room. They and the employer should care enough to supply and wear gloves.
Nice Beach and beautiful weather!
