This is an affordable aquarium to visit. We were greeted by a wonderful young lady that explained the touch pool and the critters that were in it. The gator was entertaining to watch and learn about. Yes, it's tank is small but they have broke ground on their new facility, not sure the time frame but hope the next time we are in town it will be opened. Snake show was interesting for kids of all ages. Beautiful python. about 14 feet and 100 pounds, came out to "play". If you wanted you could help return it to her home by helping the owner. We wondered to the back of the aquarium to see the tanks that held sharks and the other had string rays. You could purchase food to feed these beautiful creatures. In the large tank were sharks, Tarpon, and a large grouper among other smaller fish. The diver went in the water to feed and swim with the sharks. The grouper also got it's share and was fun to watch. Shrimp was fed to some of the fish and it was amazing how fast they move to get their share. Baby gator came out to visit and you could have a photo opt while you held it. Really enjoyed this aquarium, yes, it is small but senior admission was $7. and we felt it was a real bargain at that price. Will be back in a couple of years and will visit again. There is also a kids area with a bouncy cage and other things to entertain them. Your admission is good for the day, so we left and had lunch then returned to see the baby gator.

Amazing that a small town like Tarpon Springs has it's own aquarium complete with shark feeding, aligator handling and sting ray feeding. A lot of sea life for small place and reasonable price for taking your visitors, children and grandchildren to an afternoon of fun and Florida sea life. Highly recommended for family fun without paying the price of a large Aquarium elsewhere located at the Sponge Docks.

Our boys lived it, great family run business. Not the most updated places you will visit but for the price you can not complain. The staff was great.

I recently brought the kids to the aquarium while spending the day in Tarpon Springs.
My son loves snakes and fish and gators and we had read some reviews and decided to give it a try.
The facilities are a bit cramped but there was quite a few tanks an displays for the kids to look at. Right inside the entrance the kids loved the open aquarium where you can observed various crabs and turtles that you can touch as well.
There were also some large snakes including a albino burmese python that the kids got to touch as the owner held and gave a group discussion on. The place was quite educational and the owner was very knowledgeable. I do hope the new facility is more spacious and offers bigger tanks for some of the fish including the sharks and groupers.
Overall its a pretty neat place to visit and take in for a small price.

What an incredibly delightful experience. You can hold an alligator, feed the sharks and sting rays, and hold a snake. Plus what you learn here is explained in such a way that you'll remember for years what you learn. This is one of the best aquarium experiences I have had. Plus, this is an incredible value. Most of the people who work here are volunteers who love working here.
