People love to hate this course. It's a $20 golf course at BEST so don't expect much more. For average golfers it is a great place to play. You won't hit a lot of drivers but expect to hit a lot of mid irons and wedges. For good players, it's a great place to practice. Go out late in the day, pay your $14.00 and drop down 3 balls and play for a couple hours. The conditions are usually pretty good, but don't expect perfect ones. Great place to drink some beer and work on your golf game.

Countryway is an executive course with an over abundance of novice golfers. While the course for sure can sharpen your pitch game, the greens are straight forward, and fringe unchallenging. The good, when the course is empty you can speed through and practice. The price can't be beat. The bad, When crowded fugetttabout it. You'll be waiting and waiting and waiting. The pain of watching slow play and then other groups piling up on the tee box is like fingernails on the chalk board. Tip: Check the parking lot full - just leave empty - roll the dice and get some short game practice in.

Countryway is an executive Golf Course located on Waters Avenue in Tampa. There are no par 5 holes and some of the par 3's are very short. It is convenient to players from both Clearwater and Tampa. It can be quite crowded in the winter since it hosts many small group tournaments.

Although the course is not especially long, it can be very challenging. It is a placement course. There are a number of water hazards which makes club selection very important. There are also a great many well placed sand traps.

There is an excellent snack bar with sandwiches and hot dogs which is well patronized by the many leagues and groups that play the course weekly.

Special rates may be obtained after noon by visiting one of the many golf sites on the internet.

Been there many times with family who are members. Their cafe overlooks the beautiful golf course. Food is good and club is well maintained. Good friendly service.
