We have stayed at this Hampton Inn twice, traveling with toddler and two tweens, and had good experiences both times.
Location- very close to Busch Gardens. If you don’t wish to drive, you can walk. Total distance is about 0.7 miles. It’s actually directly facing the park but you have to walk around the enclosing wall, making it a longer distance. Still very walkable for those in good health. Be aware that traffic is heavy and constant on the streets so keep a close eye on the kids. The intersection at McKinley and Busch Blvd can be dangerous and take a long time to cross.
The hotel is also close by to McDonalds, Dunkin, KFC, CVS, and several other places to eat.
Service- check in was easy and the staff was very friendly both times. Breakfast staff was also nice and we never encountered any issues with level of service.
Rooms- rooms were ready when we checked in and were stocked with all the necessities. Overall the rooms were clean with the exception of some staining on the carpet.
Amenties- the hotel provides a decent breakfast, has a small pool, fitness center , business center , stocks coffee and tea and overall is a good value.
If you’re visiting the parks or nearby areas, this is a great choice to stay at.More
