“Worth a try!”

Excellent taste---not super-sized portions. Infused flavors. Atmosphere attractive, not inexpensive.

“BEST Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 January 2012

This is by far the BEST restaurant experience I've had in the last 20 years.

Greeters, wait staff, managers, and owners are all very friendly, upbeat, and happy- they provide the most enjoyable dinner atmosphere.

The food presentation and taste are consistently remarkable.

I also look forward to Eating at Roy's Sarasota when I'm in town.

“An unforgettable evening!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 January 2012

We have visited Roy's many times, mostly for special occasions (Birthday, anniversary...). Our last visit was for my son's Birthday, which was also his first time. Now he's hooked! The food is always perfect and the service delightful. If you're celebrating something make a reservation and mention your occasion, they always spoil you. Guranteed to be a magical evening!

“Nice "Aloha Hour" but appetizers were nothing outstanding...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2012

Went for "Aloha Hour" on Saturday night. Bar was crowed but was able to get 1 seat. Had a "skinny" cosmo - says it's under 150 calories but it was quite tasty. Hubby had a Mai Tai, which he said was very sweet. Both a good deal at $5. each. Aloha Hour has $5. cocktails & $5. apps which is great. Ordered the Tempura Spicy Crusted Ahi Roll which was not spicy at all, but was a good sized roll for the money. Also had the lobster potstickers which were underwhelming. 3 potstickers on the plate so they were barely worth the $5. A little strange flavor to them, which I think was the miso. Best app on the menu were the Waygu Beef Sliders with the sweet potato fries - that was really good. 2 small sliders with a mound of fries was a very good deal at $5. We've been to Roy's quite a few times before and for the most part the food is very good. But, if someone's first exposure to them is the Aloha Hour tasting menu, it would not make me want to stay for dinner. Atmosphere is beautiful and service was good, although the bartender tried to charge us for an extra martini. From prior visits we know the Szechuan Pork Ribs appy and and the Macadamia Crusted Mahi in Lobster Butter sauce is really good.
