Great value! Quiet location with nearby beach location. Very well maintained & decorated. Located by a canal where we watched the birds every morning from our lanai or chairs outside. We grilled a couple nights or had a kitchen to have some meals too. We would definitely stay again!

West-End Paradise is away for the big hotels and condos of Sanibel. It is almost part of the wildlife refuge in a quiet residential neighborhood. Darwin was very pleasant and helpful. The private beach access of the neighborhood is easy access and you have a parking permit during your stay. We loved the uncrowded beach and the great sunset opportunities. Hope we can return and stay in an efficiency to allow more options for cooking fresh seafood for ourselves. If you love the nature part of the beach, West-End Paradise is a great place to stay.

Over the last 20 years, we have visited Sanibel Island about 8 times, staying in many different parts of the Island. We prefer the "Small Inns and Cottages" of the Island, and have come to favor West-End Paradise. On an acre of land, about a block from the beach, with parking right at the beach for people of the neighborhood only, this west-facing beach is probably the least populated beach on the entire Island. For a couple of miles each direction, there are only private homes and a few cottages that have access to this big, beautiful beach. No hotels and no condos. And West-End is clean, charming, old-Florida style at it's best. We enjoyed spotting a beautiful gator in one of the two natural ponds on the property. Spacious accomodations, and the manager supplies everything you need for the beach - chairs, towels, umbrellas and toys! Try it, and enjoy!

Spent four lovely nights here in July. Property spotlessly clean, everything you need for a relaxing break. Owner very helpful and his dining recommendations were excellent. Private beach beautiful, usually only two or three families using it at any one time. Free use of cycles much appreciated. If you want a peaceful setting with easy access to the island it is ideal. We can also recommend a dolphin cruise in Tarpon Bay located behind Grandma Dots restaurant.

This is a perfect location for you if you like peace and quiet. Located in a small subdivision, you can use the neighborhood private beach access. You even get a parking permit, which is necessary on this island. The beach access is down the street, about 1/4 mile. The complex is only 2 miles west of the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge.

Amenities include complimentary bicycles, on-site laundry room (completely free, including detergents!), and lots of well-maintained common areas with seating. No pool on-site (which is why it got a 4 star). Plenty of parking in front of the complex.

This is not a luxury hotel, so don't expect it to be. It is very clean and everything is well maintained. You will see Darwin, the owner, every day fixing and cleaning. He is very personable and a great host. We stayed from October 2-6, 2015 for our wedding anniversary and he let us check in early since no one was using our unit the night before. Nice!

We stayed in Unit 4. It has one bedroom with a full bed, one bathroom, down the hall, a full kitchen, dining, and living room, as well as a large screened-in porch. Everything worked well and the decor was beachy and nice. Tile floors throughout, even on the porch. The entryway closet is full of beach toys, including a small cooler, noodles, chairs, shelling stuff, and umbrella. They also store an inflatable bed in a spare closet.

Very affordable - you get an entire apartment for what you would normally pay for a hotel room. We'll be back!!
