Ordered salmon dip, no salmon just fish flavored cream cheese. Ordered a dozen steamed oysters. They came out on a plate piled together with no shell. Oysters out of the shell that are fresh have a salty flavor, with tiny bits of shell in the oyster from shucking. These oyster came out of a jug that was warmed, seasoned and piled on a plate with no half shell. I don't mind paying a lot of money for good food, but damn i payed a lot of money for terrible food.

We chose to eat here because it was the only place in St. Marks to eat! At 12:30 on a weekday the place was not busy and we were instructed to pick our own table. The waitress was friendly and fairly efficient. After reading the menu and watching other food being delivered we were skeptical of the quality of the seafood (we had not yet read any reviews on the place) and instead chose the Mushroom Swiss Burger, mine with fries and my husband with chips. The burgers were industrial patties cooked uniformly until they were grey all the way through, the mushrooms were luke warm and even though we were told that the food would be up soon because they were "melting the cheese on top" they arrived with unmelted slices of cheese. The overall product was luke warm. There was a funny taste to it and by process of elimination I decided that either the mushrooms or cheese had sat out in the fridge a little too long. The fries were good though. Didn't mind the soda in cans as they were willing to bring us styrofoam "cups" with ice. My husband's chips were a small bag of Lays from a grocery store multi pack. We have been at this type of restaurant all over Florida and they are usually hit or miss. This one was a miss for us, I think their clientele would benefit if they had some competition in town.

We were here in late January, so it was difficult finding a place open early in the week. It was nice to find somewhere open for lunch (almost early dinner!) that would also accommodate our take-out need. Because we took the food out, and it was about a half hour back to the house, the fried dishes were a tad soggy (NOT their fault for sure!). While we waited, we enjoyed the view of the river.

Many of us had grouper sandwiches, and they hit the spot, though I would classify them as so-so. What would have been great would have been to eat in and enjoy some cold brews, but this was not in our stars.

I would go back, but it would be to eat in. The staff was super accommodating our separate checks and rather large to-go order. Loved the views and watching the wildlife.

This is a busy J Buffett like bar and restaurant in the high season. Today it was quiet and our service was good. The blackened fish and fish and chips were delicious but the fish was a species from China. The “ full bar” which our server advertised could not make a Manhattan or a Mojito but the beer was on tap and cold. The setting was lovely as a fishing village would be.
