We spent 4 nights, August 15th - August 19th. What a great place to stay. The rooms were excellent, very clean! The balconies were the best - oversized - and since I spend most of my time on the beach or the balcony this was perfect! You have to keep in mind, these condos are individually owned and not corporate owned; therefore, the towels, soap, paper towels, etc that you are issued are all you get. You are responsible for washing your own towels but all have washers and dryers. If this will bother you, I would suggest a full service hotel.

The pools were nice and cold. I could see if it was peak season that they would probably get crowded - but we never had a problem getting a chair, BUT the crowd was slim because of school starting.

Again, because of the time of year - parking was great. You are issued 1 free parking hang tag and never had a problem getting a parking space. I could see where this would be a problem if it was close to full capacity but I think they have a parking deck across the street.

Deposit refunded immediately and staff was very pleasant!

We would go back

We recently stayed 4 nights at Emerald Isle Beach Resort Condos in Panama City Beach FLA. These are located on the west side of PCB. Known as the quiet side of town. These condos are individually owned so no two are furnished alike. The one we rented was located on the 7TH floor and it was decorated beautifully! The ocean view was fantastic! And the sunset view was unbelievable! This was the best place I have ever stayed at in Panama City Beach! We rented our's through www.vrbo.com The price was great, I think it was cheaper than going through a rental company. Check in was a little confusing. This place has a check in office located on 4TH floor but we rented it from the owner so we had to check in at the Calypso Resort which was about a mile down the road. This was the only thing we were not told when we reserved it. The building is fairly new. Looks to be about 3 or 4 years old. It has 2 swimming pools and one of those is a indoor/outdoor pool. Also has a hot tub, 2 gas grills with a table or two. The pool areas has lounge chairs. They also have outdoor movies on the beach. (not every night) This was the first night we were there. The building has 4 elevators, located next to each other and are very fast so no waiting on a elevator. Neighbors were friendly. They only rent to 25 and above so no loud party teenagers. Our unit had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and a closet with a stackable washer & dryer. Kitchen was fully furnished (coffee pot, dishwasher, etc.) The living room & master bedroom has sliding glass doors that lead to balcony. The balcony is HUGE! It is rounded and you have a nice view of the ocean and can see either direction of the beach. The parking garage is located on the first three floors. The owners park on the 3RD floor and floors 1 & 2 are for guest. They also have a parking garage across the street with a "walk over bridge" over the road. It comes out on the 4TH floor. If your vehicle is over 7 foot or if you have a car carrier on top you have to park over there. (its like this at most of these condo resorts) These places are near by: Winn Dixie grocery store, CVS Pharmacy, Mikes Diner, Pier Park is about 1 mile away and theres a lot in there (Target, Margaritaville, Long Horns, Olive Garden, Old Navy, etc.), Sand Piper Beacon is within 1/4 mile to the east and the condo on the west side is just being built at this time. (but we didn't hear any construction noice and our unit was closer to the west side of the building) The only thing Emerald Isle does not have is a Tiki Bar. (it also has a fitness center located on the 4TH floor)

We just returned from Panama City Beach in what I would probably call one of my worst trips there ever!! I have been going there since I was a baby and I am now 30. The parking at Emerald Isle is the worst!!! You have to pay 16.50 for a parking pass and then are told that you can park on the 1st 3 levels of the building or across the street in the so called "covered parking". You are also told that under the bldg you can park in any space that does not have a name or a number on it. Well......the only level available unless you have a reserved spot with name or number is Level 1. This sounds good right?? DEFINITELY NOT!!! There are not many spaces available and there is "no outlet"!! If you cannot find a space, you have to back all the way out unless you get lucky and can turn around in handicapped. Keeping all of this in mind, you have to do this while other cars are coming AND whild people are walking to the beach and pool!!! You are steps away from pool were young children can run out at any time and believe me, they do!!

The pools are tiny and offer a max bathing load of 20 persons and there are never any chairs available as there were maybe 10 chairs to begin with at each pool. We had double red flags for our last four days and pools and pool area was packed!!! That is understandable, but Waterstone Properties could have made accomodations more appealing for people and not sardines! The waiting area for elevator is also tiny and cramped and you just about have to walk single file on way back to room on front balconies. Keep in mind too that Emerald Isle has 199 rooms. VERY CRAMPED!!

The room was nice but a little smaller than I am used to. Beach access is easy. Price is good, but for same price you can get better parking, better pools, and bigger rooms at Gulf Crest and Treasure Island. I decided to stay here since it was listed at #2 on Trip Advisor and wanted to try something new on West End. However, if you are planning on going, I would not recommend staying here. Especially if you need room or have kids that need to play in pool for double red flags!

Had a great stay at Emerald Isle, the room was very nice. We stayed on the 22nd floor overlooking the gulf. The best feature of these condos is the oversized porches, the views were amazing. Everything was very tastefully done and the complex is right in the middle of all the action, just a short distance to Pier Park. If you book through Waterstone they provide free beach chairs every day of your stay, a fact we didn't figure out till we were leaving. They put a notice in with your checkin info.
