Visited the Crusader Cafe for lunch. I ordered a salad featuring sliced pears, pecans and a scoop of chicken salad on lettuce. It was a very modest scoop for the price ($7.25) and the lettuce used was nothing unusual. It wasn't served with a roll or other accompaniment. My husband ordered a pressed sandwich. Again, the sandwich was average and the bread wasn't anything unusual. His sandwich was aroun $7.00. His came with a side and he chose fresh fruit. It was a very small serving of grapes and cantaloupe.
The owner, Martin was very nice but the counter gal wasn't enthused to be there. She was more interested in checking her messages on her smartphone.
Sad, because we are always looking for a quirky restaurant and were hoping for more.
