“Old money and ambience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 February 2012

We have been there several times to see the National Theatre Live productions and were impressed by the stately architecture and ambience. Plentiful free parking lot is right on the intercoastal and you can stroll along the path leading from the theatre,

“Fantastic gardens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2012

If you like gardens then you will love the diffenent gardens (Chinese, tropical, formal etc.) to walk through across the street from The Society of the Four Arts building.
It is really enjoyable if you go during the winter when the temps are in the seventies which allows one to linger and investigate the varied art work in the parks and even the colorful fish. And it is free!

“A most beautiful place, and free.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2012

The Society of the Four Arts offers lectures, movies, classes, some free, some paid. But it has the most beautiful garden I've seen anywhere--wonderful healthy tropical plants shading you and dappling the lovely stone trails and a Chinese garden with statues hundreds of years old. There're also a library and seashell exhibit and other hidden goodies.

“Worth a stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2011

No charge to visit, unfortunately the galleries are closed till December. Stop by the library first and pick up a map that identifies plants, sculptures and trees. The gardens are beautiful.
