Wow, this home is amazing. The tour is great, you have 3 choices- guided, audio, or self-guided with a written pamphlet that is extremely well done. We did the self-guided and were able to wander and read at our leisure. To see all of the details and murals in each of the rooms is just a thing of beauty. The tour also includes one of Flagler's private rail cars and that was enlightening to see how all of the luxury of the day was included there too. Well worth the time and money.

We had a private tour so I am unsure of what the regular tour would be like to the general public. We were let in before the regular tours began. If you want to see how the very wealthy lived during this time - this is the place to go. The architecture and furnishings we great. Seeing all the bedrooms and even the private train car were special. The grandeur is very special.

I highly encourage you to take the tour early in the day and allow several hours if you want to see every room. Families are welcome, but I would limit it to 10 years old and up. So many irreplaceable items that I cannot imagine trying to pay for if damaged. Again, make the time to browse. Exquisite!!!

An incredible history, a wealthy man and family who gave back to the people in many generous ways. Flagler made travel by rail possible deep into Florida by making the track gauge standard. His wealth also came from Standard oil and as many of that eras creative minds joined forces with the inventors of the time. This mansion was a gift to his third wife and a wonderful tour. The interior is splendor at its best. All of the new technology of the period is here. The home overlooks a beautiful water view. Worth a few hours of appreciation and can be rented for weddings and events. The only palm grove left in Palm Beach.

Expecting to visit a museum and found a palace! I have been to palaces in Europe and this compares favorably with all the historical significance that goes with it. I had heard about Henry Flagler before but this provided a historical perspective that I was missing. His foresight and intelligence in leading the development of Palm Beach was astonishing to learn about. The docent did a very good job with the tour. If you are in the area, you must go here!
