An excellent presentation of the man and his achievements. The house is extremely interesting and the history of the man himself brought to life the development of Florida.
An immensely enjoyable half day visit.

This ornate example of conspicuous consumption at the dawn of the 20th century is actually less interesting than its builder, Henry Flager. Less grandiose than Biltmore and without any especially notable art works, this mansion offers fascinating exhibits explaining Flager's ambitious construction of a railroad along Florida's east coast to Key West. The printed information provided is good enough for a decent self-guided tour, though guided tours are available.

We thought we'd pop in, look around a little, then head out for lunch nearby. We ended up staying at the museum for hours. The architecture, interior decor, and paintings were spectacular. What a delight to peek inside the life of 1880's wealth and style. My sixteen year old son was bored after one hour so maybe leave the kids back at the hotel. However, my husband and I loved the opportunity to soak up Florida history. We did the self-guided audio tour so we could linger and move room-to-room at our own pace without being stuck in a big group of strangers, If you want to enrich your experience, read a couple of online articles about Henry Flagler before coming to the museum -- you'll appreciate the significance of Whitehall even more.

We’re amazed by the dozen of luxurious bedrooms and art collections at the museum! Also there are education rooms where you can learn fun facts like how to hand make lace!

Super home with very ornate fixtures and fittings. Flagler has a great story to tell and we found the museum very beautiful and interesting.
