Days Inn located on Ormond Beach is well presented in pictures but upon arrival, not at all what is expected. For the price, Expectations were low, but what we received was much lesser than what we could have prepared ourselves for.

From the check in process, the receptionist/hotel manager was unable to multi-task and left us in the middle of check in to ensure all guests at the pool were “hotel guest”, not informing us whether we were complete with our process or not. Aside from the initial check in process, which we could have overseen had the room been presentable, the room itself was in shambles.

First off, the room smelled of mildew upon initial entry. There were holes in the walls, holes in the ceilings, rusted refrigerator, rusted outlets, water stained ceilings, loud & leaking air conditioner. The furniture itself was faded, broken, and missing paint.

Thankfully, the hotel offered us a full refund and we were able to head further down the road and stay in a much more suitable hotel.

Our room was overbooked so we were downgraded with no compensation. The lock on our door wouldn’t read our key card and we were told to just have the staff let us in. They never told us when it was fixed. The maid left our door OPEN and UNATTENDED for hours.

If you don’t mind staying in a run down hotel, this is the place to stay. If you are spending minimal time in the room you may be able to live with the amenities offered. Small breakfast selection but okay. Room furniture was run down and old but bed was comfortable. Refridgerator rusty, no coffee pot in room. Minimal cookware and silverware at hotel. You may not get cookware they only have 9 sets. Hotel and lobby appearance is poor. My room 210 had a window with no shade or curtain. I had to buy thumbtacks and get a sheet from the office to block the sun as the worker did not think that was an issue. Laundry room is a very rusty washer and dryer. Needless to say I went to the hotel my daughter was at to wash my clothes. Limited parking, if you are out late you may not find a parking space. Pool was nice. Overall friendly person in the office.

Trust me people you are wasting your money. This place is a total scam. The pictures online are so deceiving, the hotel looks rundown. Pay $50 more a night and stay at the hard rock. Plus the owners are rude to their employees.
