Made the reservation in April for a June stay. A few days before we arrived I received an email inviting me to upgrade to the presidential suite for an extra $88 per day. Of course I jumped on it. When we arrived I was told they didn't know why I received that email because that room was "out of service" since the previous guests left due to an issue with the air conditioning. I was also told that when these offers come I should call the hotel to verify that the upgrade is available. I don't think it should work that way. If the upgrade is not available, the reservation team SHOULD NOT OFFER IT.
Anyway... our original reservation was for a 1 bedroom suite but the gentleman moved us to an upper floor and gave us a couple of drink coupons. He was very apologetic.
The suite was beautiful. Large living room area, refrigerator, Keurig, microwave, desk, TV, and couch. The bedroom was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nice but the water from the shower leaks out and the carpet in the bedroom got wet. Still not sure how that happened due to the distance. Oh, and NONE of the windows open, which was disappointing.
There was a card in one of the kitchen drawers that directed us to call an extension for glasses, silverware, or plates, which I did but no one answered...Made the reservation in April for a June stay. There was a card in one of the kitchen drawers that directed us to call an extension for glasses, silverware, or plates, which I did but no one answered the phone. I called the front desk and the woman that answered told me the kitchen didn't open until 3 pm (it was just after noon). She said she access to plastic cups which she sent up. I had to go down and ask for the plates and silverware. She provided plastic ware and only got the plates when I insisted.
The pool area is nice but the entire time we were there we saw dead bugs and leaves in the pool and hot tub. I don't know how often these are cleaned for these things but I suggest someone come several times a day.
There was a breakfast buffet but the food did not look appealing so we did not eat there. The bar/lounge had a good variety of drinks and they were able to make most drinks that are not on the menu. The did not have cognac that day.
This is a beautiful hotel and aside from the lack of utensils/plates/glasses in the room, we would stay here again. While this is a suite, there is no stove/oven nor is it stocked with eating supplies except plastic cups.More
