Stayed here years ago when it was a Sheraton. Much improved since it is now under the Hilton umbrella. The renovation did not cut corners. Everything was freshly painted and rooms looked new. The landscaping is great condition. The dining options included reasonably priced options that some resorts in Orlando ignore. A Subway was right across the street if you wanted something on a budget. The pools were always pleasant and had group activities during our holiday weekend stay.

Only negative was the parking fee. I don't remember one during the Sheraton days. I understand this type of fee in a downtown area, but this hotel is in a pretty isolated area off I-Drive.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here during the first 2 weeks of September and had the best holiday ever staying at the Doubletree. The hotel location to SeaWorld and Aquatica were fantastic only a short 5-10 minute walk away, free shuttles were also provided to Universal, Busch Gardens and Disney which made it hassle free for the both of us. On our first day we managed to purchase I-Ride tickets at only $17 for the 2 weeks which allowed us to take the I-Ride at anytime we wanted which made it easy for us to enjoy the whole of International Drive without paying out for taxi's everytime. The hotel staff were more than helpful and were able to assist with any questions or queries we had throughout our stay, the rooms were cleaned and beds were made everyday. Every room came with a coffee machine (which I used everyday) and this was re-stocked every morning so we never ran out. We only managed to get by the pool for one day due to all of our days being full with parks, shopping etc however pool area was very pretty and clean which made it a well needed relaxing day off for the both of us. Overall I would have to say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I will definitely be coming back again in the near future :)

We had a great stay, the hotel was lovely with large rooms, which were clean and comfortable, the staff were very very helpful (particularly when our safe died with everything in it! It was sorted within 15 minutes) and the location was perfect, within walking distance to Sea World and Aquatica and had I-Ride Trolley Bus stop (for International Drive) and bus stop for Disney parks just outside the hotel. Also within walking distance to supermarket and a couple of restaurants. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was very good, if a little expensive. Defintely the best hotel we've stayed at in Orlando and we will return!!

We stayed at the Doubletree at the end of August for two weeks. The hotel and grounds are very nice and are always kept in nice order. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, they even gave me an extra car park entry card for a friend who was visiting us. The buffet breakfast is excellent with huge variety although the price went up during our stay from $13 to $16 so we stopped eating there. If you want great value breakfast go across the road to Village Inn where the breakfast is half the price and just as good, the staff are incredibly friendly and you also get a 10% discount if you tell them you're staying at the Doubletree.
The pools are nice and relaxing although drinks at the pool bar aren't cheap, we paid $12 for two bottles of Budweiser but they do have a deal where you can buy 5 bottles for the same price, we just didnt want 5 at the time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and being able to walk to Sea World and Aquatica was excellent, we went to both a couple of times.
The wi-fi is free in public areas but not in the rooms, although you will need a password to access it in the rooms so you won't be charged accidentally.
My only criticism would be that the walls between rooms are too thin, we we're lucky because we only had someone in the room next door for 3 nights during Labor Day weekend but they woke us up frequently during the night. I'm not sure if I could cope with that for two weeks.

Booked a great value package holiday via a UK tour operator with accomodation at the Doubletree.

On arrival at the hotel we were originally allocated a room in 'block 7' which was towards the back of the hotel. There was nothing wrong with the room, it was clean and well maintained BUT the view was of the parking lot and because we were on the ground floor we would have to keep the net curtains closed for privacy which meant the room was very dark.

We spoke to the helpful front desk and for a small amount we upgraded to a room in the tower block. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to view a room there before we agreed to room. Our room in the tower was around the same size as our original one but its location meant we had a great view and natrual light.

Parking was secure with plenty of spaces and we didn't get charged for this (I overheard the receptionist say to one guest it was because we had booked thru a UK tour operator.)

We had a great choice of free TV channels in the room and a fantastic coffee maker, but be warned, don't drink the bottled water in your room, it appears to be free but when you read the small print on the bottom of the label there is a $2.50 charge!!!!

We were in a great location for Seaworld, a 5 min walk away and we were just a short drive from Universal, Disney and the Florida Mall. However its certainly a great help to have a car, a number of guests didn't have one and there isn't a great deal of resturants within walking distance to the hotel (unless your a fan of the village inn across the road!) We did get a taxi to City Walk one night for $21 and we attempted to get on the I Trolley another night ($1.25) but even out of peak season it was full and we had a 15 min wait for the next one!

Staff were friendly, the on site shop was reasonably priced for fresh fruit cups and Starbucks coffee in the morning and the 3 pools were great, lots of sunbeds and clean towels avaliable, plus the pools were open till midnight so great for a dip when you get in from a day at the parks!!!

Clean rooms, great value for money and friendly staff.. wouldn't hesitate to book myself in here again and would recomend it to anyone.

Thank you for the review and great recommendation! We’re glad that we were able to accommodate your room change request and that it met your expectations. Opening this fall will be a new Delmonico Italian Steakhouse across the street from Doubletree Resort Orlando! We hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Orlando.
