One of our favorite restaurants at Disney! We always enjoy going here and we love the atmosphere where we feel like we're at a drive-in theater. Our 2 kids like to sit in the front seat while my husband and I enjoy a "date" in the back seat.

This trip we had an exceptional experience I wanted to mention. A couple of years ago my favorite item on the menu was the Salmon BLT with a side of cucumber salad. When we came here last year the menu had changed and they no longer offer those items. This year I met Chef Albert who told me he could still make it, but they no longer have salmon on the menu for any items which would obviously make it difficult for him to make it. But this is where the service is exceptional... instead of letting that hinder him for pleasing a customer, he said he would get some salmon from a different restaurant nearby. About 15 minutes later I had my favorite Salmon BLT sandwich. That is definitely going above and beyond in excellent customer service.

But there's more. He gave me his card and told me to email him next time I am coming in and he'll make sure to have everything to make that sandwich as well as the cucumber salad that I love. True to his word, he was prepared when we came back. We had plans to return one more time before our annual pass expired but Chef Albert was going to be on vacation, so instead of telling me I would be out of luck that night, he arranged to have another chef make my favorites. Wow! Talk about incredible customer service!

So, we returned last night and 2 chefs, Chef Daniel (who also has provided excellent service to us in the past by making this sandwich for me when it first went off the menu) and Chef J.R. They came to our table and let me know that Chef Albert let them know I was coming and they were all prepared to make the Salmon BLT and cucumber salad for me. I just can't get over the excellence in service at this place.

Last but not least, the servers are all pretty awesome as well. Last night we had Kimmy who treated us really well, and we always like to see Tafouiq if he's working. Kimmy and Tafouiq both provide excellent service.

We visited last year and had a great time. We visited again on this vacation (2nd Nov 2018 for lunch) and were left stunned at how lacklustre the service was. Every single cast member here was miserable - it could not have been more different from our visit last year. What happened?? From the moment we checked in we were met with an unenthusiastic hostess. Our party was however called promptly, and we were met by another cast member who seemed to have even less energy than the first, mumbling in monotone about the restaurant as she took us to our seat, like she could not wait to leave... Once seated, we had the most bizarre service from our waiter, where he simultaneously waited on the two other tables directly behind us like we were all one big party (again without so much as cracking a smile). The server asked all of the tables at once if anyone was using the dining plan. We had to put our hand up... Then he proceeded to read out the specials to all 3 tables at once - so I couldn’t really hear what they were (so didn’t bother ordering any of them). It was clearly too much trouble to tell us the specials individually, so I didn’t ask him to repeat. Restaurants like Sci-Fi dine-in are as much about the overall experience as they are the food, so despite the food being ok (nothing special), I’ve really had to down-rate this place. It was some of the most disappointing service out of any restaurant on Disney property. We started looking across to other tables and other servers - perhaps we had been seriously unlucky - but we didn’t see one smile or even a glimmer of enthusiasm from any cast member while there. We saw a women walking around with an iPad and an ear piece wearing a cardigan, she looked like she was a manager given the different uniform. But she was easily the most miserable and stern faced there, so perhaps that explains partially why the other cast members looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. Quite bizarre and sadly we probably won’t return anytime soon. There are better burgers on Disney property, so the service needs to shine here and it didn’t.

We booked for lunch for a party of 8 with 3 x children and 1 x disabled adult. We were checked in promptly and were seated at a table suitable for somebody in a wheelchair. The food was average, typical burgers, steaks etc.... nothing special. The milkshakes for the kids were tasty. The waiter was nice enough except when we left our tip we later found that this was also charged to our room which we challenged and had refunded. Again if paying at Disney then i found the restaurant expensive but we were on the Dining the plan.

The milkshakes were good but other than that the food was not good. We had a variety of the meals and nobody really liked their food.

Aside from the milk shakes and interesting atmosphere, there is no reason to visit this place. The food is not good. It is definitely not worth money and not really worth Disney table service. Service is fine but so many better choices. If you must eat here stick with onion rings and hamburger. Bbq platter not satisfying. Donuts no longer warm and so less yummy.
