Hands down the best restaurant at MGM. Before I go into a lengthy review, let me sum it up. Awesome atmosphere, great food, great shakes, and always good service.

This place can get busy and reservations can be difficult to get because its one of the better restaurants on the WDW property. The food is your run of the mill burgers, sandwiches, and pasta. I've been coming to this place for several years now, its a must do for us, and the menu does change. They always have some type of special burger and shake. The use to have these ribs that were amazing, but they are no longer around.

Now the atmosphere is what really makes the place shine. Upon entering the restaurant you find yourself behind the scenes of a movie production. Once your table is ready, you are escorted by your car hop into a drive in movie theater. It's night time and area is perfectly lit, you can even see the city lights surrounding you in the drive in. You are seated in vehicle that can fit up to 2 people per row and has about 2 or 3 rows. You usually get these if you reserve a table and they are the most wanted seats. Bigger parties will get to sit in a vehicle, but they wont be sitting like they were in a car on the bench seats, instead they will find themselves sitting at a regular table with a front and rear part of a car attached to them. If you don't reserve a table they have these circular tables with umbrellas that can accommodate your party, but it's not as much fun in my opinion, however those that would prefer to have more space when they are eating my opt for this option.

I have only sat on the bench seats in the cars, so I can't talk about the other sitting locations, but for the bench seats they have a little built in light to help you read the menu. I prefer it this way, because if the lighting was any brighter, it would ruin the atmosphere. On the movie screen they play old B movie trailers along with some drive in commercials and Walt Disney Sci-Fi cartoons. It loops after an hour and I do wish that they would change it, but I only say this because I have been coming a lot, this isn't something that would bother anyone else.

Food is on point, you can never go wrong with the burger. I recently tried to sampler appetizer on my latest trip and my wife and I love it. It cam with fried pickles, wings, and some queso, the wings were amazing. I had ordered on of the alcoholic chocolate shakes and was pretty stuffed after we finished the appetizer, luckily we were sharing a sandwich, so we were able to put a dent in it. My wife and I normally share, we tend to fill up quickly, but that is us, so if you don't go for the appetizer and are pretty hungry, I would order individually.

Service is what you always expect at Disney, perfect. Some people have complained that they have had to wait awhile to sit down, but I have gone over 8+ times and never waited longer than 10 minutes, however I always make a reservation. I didn't mention desert because i'm always stuffed and just feel like i'm going to explode, especially when they had those ribs. Next trip, I am going to make it a point to try the desert, but I have heard great things about the House-made Sci-Fi Candy Bar. Anyways if your still reading this, try the place out, you won't regret, its fun for the whole family.

They do take the annual pass discount and prices are fair. The restaurant can be a little difficult to find if your not familiar with the park. It's next to the ABC Commissary. If your looking at the Chines Theater, walk towards it and when your almost at the entrance look to your left. You should see the ABC Commissary, it's in what looks like a wide alley. Just follow it down and you'll see the place.

Enjoy!

This is a great spot for lunch while enjoying Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Set with a drive in movie theme, the food is surprisingly good. While watching 50’s clips and entertaining videos we had the excellent pastrami-spiced prime rib sandwich on marble bread. The panko-encrusted onion rings were crispy and lightly salted, a nice addition for a nominal charge. One in our party had the buffalo chicken salad which he declared “perfectly spiced”. Reservations are recommended if you want to eat in a car, the tables for four were really perfect for us and available for walk ins. Definitely two thumbs up!

Enjoy 1950s era sci-fi movie clips while eating in your car at a drive in theater - including period appropriate advertising. A lot of fun for those old enough to remember - and for those young enough to enjoy stories about “the good old days”. Reservations highly recommended.
